From Mike’s Desk

At our AGM service two weeks ago, I highlighted the KBC Prayer Partners’ Ministry.  This is a ministry that has been operating in the life of the church for several years, and each year I invite people to commit themselves to be a part of it for the next 12 months.  It works like this … People commit themselves to partnering with me in praying for the life and mission of KBC.  Then each week, I send out a Prayer Letter (by e-mail or post) highlighting the things I want you to pray about, and the things on my heart which I’m sensing God speaking to me about regarding the life of the church community.  I also love to hear back from Prayer Partners what they are sensing God saying to them as they pray about these matters.

This Prayer Partners’ Ministry is, I believe, of enormous significance and value in our life together as a faith community, and I hugely appreciate having a band of people committed to praying with me and for me.  I was delighted with the response at the AGM Service from people wanting to commit to this ministry for the coming year.  But it’s not too late to sign up if you haven’t already!  If you have been a Prayer Partner over the past year, but weren’t at the AGM service and so missed the chance to recommit, or if you want to join this ministry for the first time, I’d love to hear from you.  You can fill in one of the Prayer Partner cards at the Info Desk in the foyer, and give it to me, or to Viv in the Church Office, or you can just speak to me or e-mail me.  I’d love your partnership in prayer over the next 12 months!
